  • The location of land does not evaluate if the land is being used for agricultural purposes.

Ineligibility for PM KISAN

  • Every farmer is not eligible if they are a Former or present holder of constitutional posts.
  • Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats are also not eligible for the scheme.
  • While all serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees) are also not eligible for the scheme
  • All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is ₹10,000/-or more (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of the above category Are also not eligible for PM KISAN.
  • Every farmer who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
  • Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out professions by undertaking practices are also not eligible even if they hold agricultural land.
  • Leased landholders are not eligible for the scheme, such as tenant farmers.
  • If the landowner is not using the land for agriculture.

Current Status Of Scheme

By March 2022, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme to support and give minimum income to farmers is running successfully, and the government has successfully issued ten installments under the scheme.
